There is tremendous reward to be found in giving one`s time and skill away to those in need.  Dr. Pite has been involved in the community for BC Dental Day and in many of the community clinics in the cities around the province.  He also was involved with the Vancouver Aquarium, scuba diving to clean the algae from the dolphin tanks.

Dr. Pite has been fortunate to have been involved in Medoutreach 2005 from the University of Western Ontario with four medical and two nursing students.  Together, this student run effort fundraised over the year to spend three months in Arusha, Tanzania to provide medical and dental screening, care and education to these residents.
A few years later, Dr. Pite spent time in Southern Vietnam working with orphan children, the cancer centre and the oral maxillofacial trauma centre in Saigon.  He also spent time in Cambodia the Angkor Hospital for Children.
